About Us

Fox Hollow Baking Company is a family-run, gourmet bakeshop in the foothills of the Shenandoah Mountains, in beautiful Crozet, Virginia.

I'm Leanne Fox, owner and baker at Fox Hollow Baking Company. I was designated the family baker as a little girl, after my family concluded that my version of our Grandma's molasses cookies were even better than the (already great) original. I carried that recipe with me when I left my childhood home in New Mexico, and continued sharing them with others in college and graduate school, and then Capitol Hill, where I worked in the communications office of a devoted and thoughtful U.S. Senator. While in Washington, D.C., I became more serious about baking, finding comfort working with butter and sugar, and joy in sharing my baking with friends and colleagues.

After relocating with my family to central Virginia, I focused on raising my young children while continuing to test recipes on family, friends, and neighbors. After nearly ten years, and in the midst of a global pandemic, I decided to launch Fox Hollow Baking Company, because I realized that, no matter what table I set baked goods out on -- at family holiday parties, in study halls in graduate school, inside Capitol Hill offices, or at neighborhood cookouts -- good food brings people together. I hope our cookies make your days a little sweeter, too.
